Comedy is Back in Leicestershire for 2021

August 2021 | Leicestershire

Comedy is back in Leicestershire with The Doorstep Comedy Club! After over a year of no laughs or shows, stand-up comedy is making a triumphant return to the county with a series of shows jam packed with comedy talent.

Our schedule begins with the hilarious Simon Brodkin, the man behind Lee Nelson, Jason Bent and a series of brilliantly crafted pranks including showering then-FIFA President Sepp Blatter with money and handing Theresa May her P45. He'll be in Shepshed on Saturday 21st August in a trial run of his 'Troublemaker Tour' but as things stand both shows are already Sold Out.

September sees three shows. Starting on Thursday 9th we have crowd favourite Tim Bradbury, better known as 'Tiny Tim's Adventures', with his tour show in Shepshed at the Pied Bull. On Friday 17th we're in a new venue at the Grosvenor Snooker Club in Syston with a cracking line-up headlined by Live at the Apollo star Nathan Caton and MC'd by the effervescent Freddy Quinne. Then we return to Shepshed again on Friday 24th where Britain's Got Talent funny man Micky P Kerr will close out the show. All September shows are available for just £12.50 each.

The comedy continues in October with another Pied Bull, Shepshed show on Saturday 23rd where English Comedian of the Year and BBC Comedy writer Jake Lambert headlines ahead of Pete Phillipson and Robin Morgan who will be on MC duties. A week later on the 30th we're in Birstall at the Co-op Sports & Social Club for what is expected to be another knock-out night of comedy with a line-up that includes Jay Handley, Pete Phillipson, Andrew Mensah and Terry Alderton, star of Dave's One Night Stand and Live at the Apollo.

There's just the one show in November, but as always we're expecting fireworks on Saturday 27th as Virgin Radio and Xtra Factor host Matt Richardson is joined by the multi award winning Jenny Collier and Sean Percival. For only £12.50 this show is a steal.

Our end of year calendar would be nothing without some shows in the Christmas-New Year break and the Shepshed show on Tuesday 28th with one-liner machine Mark Simmons is one for the books. Plus we return to Syston's Grosvenor Snooker Club on Wednesday 29th where Britain's Got Talent Finalist Noel James will see us out of 2021 and onwards towards next year's Leicester Comedy Festival and more!
